Like our 2.0" silver dog tags but more compact at 35mm (1.4") diameter, this is unique to 10STERLING. Made in our Windsor, UK workshop and hallmarked in London, this 925 sterling silver double dog tag set is modelled on the UK Armed Forces dog tag. The 35mm discs are the same diameter as the UK Forces’ dog tag with an identically sized 5mm-chain hole. Note, this item does not come with a chain. This dog tag is embossed which is more suitable for softer silver material and means the lettering won't wear away. The silver dog tag thickness is 1.0mm. Each tag weighs 9.0g. In comparison a £2 coin weighs 12.5g. We asked the London Assay Office to add the lion hallmark at the bottom of the disc tag which is the traditional purity mark for sterling silver: we think this is appropriate given that the design is based on the discs worn by the UK Armed Forces.

The 10STERLING name is stamped on the back of each tag in 1.5mm high letters. There's room for 5 lines of lettering on each silver disc (note, all letters are CAPITALISED) . Lines 1-3 can accommodate 12 characters, line 4, 10 characters and line 5 has room for 8 characters. For info, the official UK Forces' dog tags usually have: surname, initials, blood group, forces number, religious preference, and RAF number (for RAF only).

Stunning...bought as a christening gift of a serving member of our armed forces and it is good quality and has some weight to it so it feels expensive and looks expensive, but a very reasonable price...thank you and quick delivery

Bought this for wearing while fell running. Nice piece and better than I imagined. Really nicely polished. Decent sized chain hole means it fits on every chains I've got. Perfect

Very disappointed that the dog tag has the company's logo stamped on it

[Sorry you didn't like that. We make these in our Windsor workshop so we feel justified in having our name there. However, the back is marked by the reverse sides of the letters on the front anyway so it doesn't stand out, particularly as the letters are only 1.5mm high: it's only noticeable / readable if you hold it really close to your eyes. Thanks for the feedback. I guess you can't please everyone :-) ]
