Like our 2.0" silver dog tags, but more compact at 35mm (1.4") diameter, this is unique to 10STERLING. Made in our Windsor, UK workshop and  
hallmarked in London, this 925 sterling silver double dog tag set is modelled on the UK Armed Forces dog tag with the same 35mm diameter and an identically-sized 5mm-chain hole. While the official UK dog tags are engraved, ours are embossed. We think this looks better but it's also more suitable for silver and means the lettering will always be readable. Silver dog tag thickness is 1.0mm which is 3 times the thickness of our stainless tags so they won't bend in normal use. We asked the London Assay Office to add a lion hallmark at the bottom of the disc tag which is the traditional purity mark for sterling silver: we think this is appropriate given that the design is based on the discs worn by the UK Armed Forces.
 
Our hallmarked silver chains are 3.2mm thick versus the 2.5mm UK forces steel chains. The standard main chain length is 20" but other chain lengths from 18" - 30" (46cm - 76cm) are available at checkout. Included with this set is a free silver polishing cloth to keep your silver dog tags shining. See Product Care below for more details. The length of the secondary chain is 5.5". The weight of each tag is 9.0g and the whole set weighs 28.0g. In comparison a £2 coin weighs 12.5g. Buying these as a double-set saves you £10 because we give you the short 5.5" chain free. 

There's room for 5 lines of lettering (note, all letters are CAPITALISED) on each silver disc. Lines 1-3 can accommodate 12 characters, line 4, 10 characters and line 5 has room for 8 characters. For info, the official UK Forces' dog tags usually have: surname, initials, blood group, forces number, religious preference, and RAF number (for RAF only). The 10STERLING name is stamped on the back of each tag in 1.5mm high letters.

However, you can use this to see how it looks with the text for both tags. When you've worked out what text you'd like, enter the text for the upper-tag in the top part and the text for the lower-tag in the part that says "Lower Tag / Side 2". The "Side 2" refers to our double-thick stainless tags only and isn't relevant here. ALL letters will be CAPITALISED, LIKE THIS. We regret that lower-case letters are not available.

got my round set of uk style dog tags today, really pleased with them, allready have the older sytle dog tags and didnt think they could be improved but clive has done a top job.

I bought these for my partner to replace the one's he used to have when he served in the army. The quality was absolutely fantastic, it looks amazing and is going to be a gift he treasures for a very long time.

Clive took extra special care of me when I placed the order and helped me to create a beautiful keep sake.

This was the only place I could find the UK design tags and to have them in silver looks amazing.
